most want to be... their own home!
Our
multidisciplinary approach has been proven effective in managing the
complex needs of memory-impaired patients and their caregivers.

We have been helping patients,
caregivers and families suffering from Alzheimer's
disease, dementia or other cognitive impairments for
almost 18 years!
Consider the following:
-
Nearly six million individuals in the
United States and Canada alone have
Alzheimer's disease or a related
dementia - a number that is expected to
reach nearly 20 million in the next five
decades.
- Nearly a quarter
(23.9%) of U.S. households are now
involved in caring for an elderly family
member or relative, spending an average
of 20 hours a week in caregiving related
activities.
- Some 80% of
caregivers provide unpaid assistance
seven days a week.
- More than 60% of
all family caregivers say they have
suffered from depression.
- Nearly a quarter
(23.9%) of U.S. households are now
involved in caring for an elderly family
member or relative, spending an average
of 20 hours a week in caregiving related
activities.

In
the 21st century, the demands placed on
family and other informal caregivers is
likely to escalate, affecting nearly every
American family. It's everyone's greatest
fear! A parent starts to forget things. He
becomes bewildered, confused, and angry.
Finally, he can't take care of himself and
needs full time care. Adult children are
increasingly faced with their greatest
nightmare - parents who may be as helpless
as young children.
Some of the
families we have helped include:
-
A daughter whose mother was the
full-time caregiver for her father who
suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
Her mother had a massive stroke and is
completely paralyzed - her mind however,
is completely intact. The daughter
lives 3000 miles away.
Alzheimer's Care
at Home provides her with
professional
geriatric care management services and
arranged for a private duty aide to
spend 4 hours a day at the nursing home
to provide her mother and father with a
friend.
- A local woman
recently found that her mother suffers
from a rapid onset dementia. Her
mom can no longer live at home and
private duty home care was not an
option. Our care manager worked
with her, her mother and the rest of her
family to find a
new home.
One that that best meets her
physical, psychological, financial and
social needs.
- A family
discovered that their parents who suffer
from numerous medical conditions
including memory loss, were not taking
their medications.
Alzheimer's
Care at Home worked with
the family to assure the patients became
medication compliant and were able to
remain together, in their own home.
- A son arrived to
find that his mother was not giving his
father the medication necessary to
manage his type II diabetes. His
father ended up in the hospital and when
he was discharged, he required regular
insulin injections.
Alzheimer's
Care at Home arranged for
a licensed nurse to provide the insulin
injections, a Care Manager to counsel
and support his mother, and eventually
the patient's condition improved and he
was removed from the insulin. He remains
at home with his wife of 65 years.
-
Alzheimer's
Care at Home has helped
hundreds of families across the United
States keep their loved one at home.
From a one (1) hour visit to 24 hour
round the clock care, we help families
identify the problems and find the most
appropriate solution. Whenever you reach out, we are here to
help!

Thank You!
"You and your family of caring
staff have been the best thing that has ever happened to me
since I had my fall, thank you."
- Donna F.

"I cannot say
enough at how kind and helpful and understanding all of the
staff were in our time of need to help take care of our
mother. There are no words to describe how much we
appreciate the loving care…" - Mary Lou D.

"I appreciate your efficiency,
thoroughness and caring touches!
Your understanding of Alzheimer's has been extremely
helpful. Just knowing that Mom is safe in her home with
Karen has made a huge difference in our lives my brother is
finally getting his life back after taking care of Mom this
past year.
I wanted to express my gratitude to you, your staff. When
mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, we were frantic. We knew
she would eventually need constant care and were at a total
loss as to how to care for her. Our fears were that if we
did have to hire someone to care for her, how we could trust
they would care for her as we would. We prayed for guidance in this matter and God did answer our
prayer when we found you. I thank God for leading us to you
and your company. Your diligence, professionalism, and
genuine care for my mother truly appreciated.” - Sandi and Joe E.
