Stricken
with Alzheimer's Disease and recently widowed, Jacob lives alone
in the home he has maintained for 50 years. In these days he is
more forgetful, often locking himself out of the house, leaving
the stove on, and forgetting to take his medicine. That is why his
niece helped him arrange for the services of ElderCare at Home.
Now, as part of a life-long ElderCare plan, Jacob's personal Care
Manager supervises his caregiver, pays his bills, arranges social
activities, accompanies him to doctors appointments, provides
emotional support, and monitors his changing needs. |

for an older person to maintain their independence even though their
health may be failing them and their pride may be keeping them from
accepting assistance.
The experienced, caring professionals at
ElderCare at
Home do much more than help manage the tasks of daily living. We view
each person as the one-of-a-kind individual they are, and we do
everything possible to satisfy the particular needs and desire of our
clients. Nearly 17 years of experience has given us the insight and

Dr.
Matthews has treated Lorraine for 10 years. After her husband died
two years ago, Lorraine became increasingly depressed and began
losing weight. When Dr. Matthews didn't see an improvement in her
condition, he suspected Lorraine was forgetting to take the
medication and nutritional supplements he had prescribed. During
her regular visits, he could tell by their long conversations that
she was lonely and needed someone to talk to. Dr. Matthews
referred Lorraine to ElderCare at Home, which arranged for a
caregiver to be with her 6 hours a day. Now she has the
companionship she needs. They shop and cook together so Lorraine
is gaining weight. By having regular companionship and receiving
reminders to take her medication, her depression has greatly
alleviated. Dr. Matthews is delighted to see his patient thriving
once again..
