Elayne Forgie has been a professional geriatric care manager for more than 20 years and was a founding Board Member of the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association. She is the president and founder of ElderCare At Home, the Alzheimer’s Care Resource Center, and AlzheimersTraining.com
She is presently serving on the Advocacy Advisory Board for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America and has been awarded their Excellence in Care Specialist designation. She is a member of the Case Management Society of America and American Counseling Association. She currently serves on the 2012 Executive Board of Directors for the Area Agency on Aging Palm Beach/Treasure Coast.
Elayne has been recognized on local, state, and national levels as both a certified geriatric care manager and as president/owner of an Inc. 500 company. She has over 21 years of direct experience focusing on the needs of older adults, caregivers, and family members living with the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive impairments. She has an impeccable reputation for providing comprehensive care and services and has helped thousands of families across the United States.
Elayne is active in a number of local organizations including Executive Women of the Palm Beaches; Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Alzheimer’s Alliance and is presently working with other local leaders in the establishment of Dementia Specific Standards for service delivery to patients and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Terry Forgie, Senior Vice President/CFO
Terry Forgieis the Chief Financial Officer of ElderCare at Home. Terry has been in the medical field for over 22 years. Prior to founding ElderCare at Home with his wife Elayne, Terry worked as the business office manager for a local nursing home and later managed a four physician practice in Delray Beach, Florida. He enjoys the outdoors, golf, travel, fine dining, and spending time with his wife and their 3 children.
Cindy Brown, Vice President and Corporate Administrator
Cindy is the Vice President/Corporate Administrator and works each day with our clients, Care Coordinators, Human Resources and ElderCare Specialists.Her primary responsibility is to assure that ElderCare at Homefollows and implements all of the State requirements as well as the standards set forth by the owners.
Equally important is her dedication to making sure each and every one of our clients is satisfied with the services provided and the experience they have with our company. Cindy has been in the home health field working with Elayne and Terry Forgie since 1997. Cindy presently serves on the Palm Beach Caregiver Coalition, the Alzheimer’s Alliance and volunteers with other organizations to provide support group services. Cindy is active in a number of local senior and not-for-profit organizations. She is a member of the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. Cindy has lived in South Florida for 25 years. She enjoys road trips, motorcycles, camping and spending time with her children and husband.
Erica began with ElderCare at Home in 2001. Her responsibilities include recruiting for experienced and dedicated caregivers for families in need. The part she enjoys most about her position is when she hears that the caregiver she recruited has improved the clients quality of life. It’s extremely rewarding to her to know that she played a part in providing the client with the best home care possible. When not working, she enjoys time with her family and friends, traveling, and movies.
DJ Starr is the Finance Manager and is responsible for all billing and accounts receivable. He joined the ElderCare at Home team in 2004 and assists with submitting insurance claims, awarding patients and families the benefits they desperately deserve, and manages the billable hours of all ElderCare at Home Specialists. He enjoys the Pittsburgh Steelers and on any given Sunday you can find him cheering on his hometown team.
Charlene is the IT assistant. she joined the ElderCare team in March 2011. Her responsibilities include creating all the company’s graphics and marketing materials, webinars, and monthly newsletter and to assist any other departments as needed. Charlene enjoys spending time with friends, family and her three- year old, Mallory Lynn. She enjoys art, designing, music and movies. Charlene also plans to go back to school next semester to study graphic design.

Each Geriatric Care Manager focuses on enhancing the quality of life of the patient and caregiver and is specifically trained to work with their various wishes, lifestyles, religious beliefs and preferences.
